You Beauty Discovery Box - August 2014

Firstly, apologies for this very late post. I received my You Beauty Discovery Box at the beginning of the month but, what with it being the school holidays, I just haven't had time to get this list written until now!

The theme for August is Summer Essentials.

There were several items I wanted this month. I almost chose the Louise Galvin Treatment Masque but it didn't state which hair type it was for so I didn't risk it. The Eucerin MattifyinFace Fluid also looked good but because I'm not going on holiday I decided against it.

The first item I chose was JustBe Hydrated Hydrating Serum 10ml RRP £11.65.

This serum should be applied twice daily onto cleansed skin and is supposed to provide skin with an instant feeling of firmness and improved elasticity. At my age, if it works, then it's a thumbs up from me! I've never used this brand before so I am looking forward to trying this out.

The second item I chose was Gazelli Skincare Triple Youth with White Oil Duo each 5ml total RRP £16.
Again, not a brand I have encountered before. The serum is to be used twice a day and the moisturiser over the top of the serum. Again they are supposedly anti-ageing products. Yay!

The box also contained 4 extra items:

Jimmy Choo Eau De Parfum 2ml sample
Jimmy Choo Man Eau De Toilette 2ml sample
FaceD 3-Luronics face cream serum
4 way nail buffer.

The products I chose had a value of £27.65 and that's not including the 4 extras listed above. I think that is great value from a box that costs just £6.95 delivered to your door!

What did you choose this month?

Thanks for reading.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
Take care,
CJ xx

You Beauty Discovery Box - July 2014

Yes, it's that time again and today I have taken delivery of my July You Beauty Discovery Box. It arrived in super quick time this month!

July's theme is You Travel.
To be honest, I wasn't as impressed with this months selection as I have been in previous months. That said, it is still fantastic value for money at £6.95.

The first item I chose was Tan Organic Oil Arganic Moisturising Dry Oil 100ml RRP £24.99. It says it is a multi-purpose dry oil which can be used on face, body and hair. I think I shall try it on my hair first because I've just used up my Avon Argan oil. I'm not sure if it's to be used on wet or dry hair, though. If anyone has tried it, please let me know which is the best way to use it.

The second item I chose was Archeia Rose Rejuvenating Cream 5ml. This is a tiny pot, but the full size 15ml pot retails at a wapping £47.99 so this tiny pot is worth £16! It is meant to have anti-ageing properties so I am looking forward to seeing if it is worth its expensive price tag.

The box also contained 3 extra items:
a sachet of Egyptian Magic Skin Cream,
an Agent Provocateur Fatale Eau de Parfum sample vial
and a 50ml Dove Men Pro-moisture Shave Cream.
I shall pass the shave cream onto my hubby or one of my sons. I did feel the men's shave cream was a bit random for what is essentially a female beauty box.

Did you subscribe to any boxes this month? What are you favourites?

Thanks for reading.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Take care,
CJ xx

You Beauty Discovery Box - June 2014

I've just taken delivery of this months You Beauty Discovery box.
The theme for June is "Beauty Heroes".

None of the skin care or hair care products tempted this month but that was because my eyes were drawn to the L'Oreal Infallible 24H Lip Colour.
There were 2 colours to choose from: 110 Timeless Rose and 121 Flawless Fuschia. I've not tried this formula before so in the end I went for both colours!
I shall do a swatch and review for them in due course.
These lip colours retail for £9.99 each so to get both in a £6.95 beauty box is fantastic value.

The box also contained 2 extra treats: a Dead Sea Mud Spa mask from Montagne Jeunesse and an Expandable Face Cloth in the shape of a heart. It looks sweet so will be a shame to "expand" it!

Do you subscribe to this box? What did you choose this month? Full details for this box are here. This is the only monthly box I subscribe to because I think it is great value for money and I do like to be able to choose items for myself.

Thanks for reading.
Have a great day.
Take care,
CJ xx

You Beauty Discovery Box - May 2014

Well my You Beauty Discovery Box for May is finally here! Actually, I received it early this month but it was missing one product so I have had to wait until I could blog about it. Grrrr...
This months theme was CEW (UK) 2014 Awards.

The first product I chose this month was the Margaret Dabbs Foot Hygiene Cream.

Their website says it's ideal for sweat prone feet so I ordered this for my hubby!  I shall let you know how he gets on with it in due course.

The second item I chose was Glamglow Youth Mud Tinglexfoiiate Treatment mask. Even though I am not too keen on mud masks, I had heard rave reviews about this mask so I couldn't resist. I've not tried it yet but I shall report back once I have.

The other items that were included with this months box were a sample sachet of Caudalie Divine Legs, a sample sachet of Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Hair Repair leave in conditioner, and a portion sachet of Lizi's granola.

The You Beauty Discovery Box subscription costs just £6.95 per month and that includes postage! I love it because you get to choose 2 items from their shortlist and the value is great. The foot cream I selected this month costs £18 on its own!
If you subscribe to this box, what did you choose this month?

Thanks for reading.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Take care,
CJ xx

You Beauty Discovery Box - April 2014

Apologies for going AWOL last week but it was the school holidays here in the UK and I was also a little under the weather so I guess life just got in the way...

Well, after what seemed a VERY long wait this month, my You Beauty Discovery box finally arrived yesterday. This months theme was "Organic and Natural".
The 2 options I chose were: a 30ml Brightening Clayspray and a tin of Steamcream.
I am looking forward to trying the Clayspray and shall report back when I have had chance to give it a good testing. The Clayspray retails for £15 and the Steamcream for around £12.95 but you can get some designs cheaper. Don't you just love the different tin designs?
The box also came with a sample sachet of The Organics Pharmacy Antioxidant Face Cream and a Fruity 9 Bar. I think I shall eat my 9 Bar today whilst they are all scoffing their Easter Eggs!

For those who haven't heard of the You Beauty Discovery Box, it is a subscription box and costs just £6.95 per month and that includes postage! You get to choose 2 items for your box at the beginning of the month, but popular items do go quickly so don't hang around if there is something you really want! As you can see the items I chose this month way exceeded the £6.95 subscription cost so, to me, it is a "no brainer".

If you are interested in learning about the You Beauty Discovery Box, you can find the details here. If you already subscribe, what did you choose this month?

I bought the box with my own money and all links on this blog post are affiliate free - I do NOT get rewarded if you click on any of them.
Thank you for reading and I would love to hear from you.
Enjoy the rest of your day and, if you celebrate, Happy Easter!
Take care,
CJ xx
